This year, the Municipal Election will take place on November 2, 2021. 

Registered voters who will be voting by absentee ballot should fill out the absentee ballot application and return it to the Town Clerk's Office at 740 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108, or leave it in the Town Hall drop box installed in the parking lot. The ballots will be mailed starting on October 1st. Both applications and ballots may be placed into the drop box at Town Hall.

In order to be able to vote in the Municipal Election, citizens must be registered voters. Individuals who have have registered in the past and have not changed their residential address since then, do not have to register again. However, those who have never registered or have registered, but changed their address since then, must register again with their new address. The quickest and easiest way to register is online here. Please register as soon as possible to ensure enough time to be processed.The deadline to register is October 26th. 

If for some reason (just moved to town, turned 18 or became a U. S. Citizen) you were unable to register, you may do so on election day in the Town Council Chambers at the Town Hall (740 Main Street). For additional information, please click here.
