(April 25, 2018) East Hartford, CT – Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc announced that the East Hartford Town Clerk’s Office will sponsor a low cost or no cost Rabies Clinic on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 12PM - 2PM at the rear of Firehouse No. 1 at 726 Main Street. This clinic is presented in partnership with Dr. Wilfredo Barrios, Veterinarian of the East Hartford Animal Clinic in cooperation with the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association.

The clinic is open to both dogs and cats, who must be appropriately leashed or crated, respectively. The clinic is open to all – there are no residency requirements. The fee is $20 cash only. One pet may be vaccinated at no charge for owners who show their State Public Assistance Identification Card.

The clinic will issue a three year rabies vaccination to pets with a valid rabies certificate or a dog license showing prior vaccination. The one year vaccine will be given to all other pets. Valid license tags are not sufficient proof to qualify for the three year vaccination.
