Join East Hartford Police Officers for "Coffee with a Cop" on Valentine's Day

coffee with a cop

East Hartford, CT—Community spirit in East Hartford continues in 2020. Residents will have an opportunity to share coffee with a cop this coming Valentine’s Day! The next East Hartford Police Coffee with a Cop takes place from 8 - 10 AM on Friday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, at Dunkin’, 639 Main Street in town. All are welcome.

The East Hartford Police Department is inviting everyone to take a moment this Valentine’s Day to warm up with a cup of coffee and conversation.

Since 2016, the East Hartford Police Department has hosted a regular program designed to bring police officers and the community members they serve together – over coffee – to discuss issues and learn more about each other.  No agenda, no speeches.  Talk with police about your neighborhood, ask questions, share concerns, or stop by just to chat.

“Events like this provide access and opportunity for distraction-free conversations between East Hartford Police Officers and folks within the community we serve,” said Police Chief Scott Sansom.  “If you have a few moments, please stop by for a friendly chat.  Everyone is welcome,” Sansom added.

The Coffee With A Cop program is recognized worldwide for building community trust and partnership.  In a short time, Citizens and police officers get to know each other and discover mutual goals for the communities they live in and serve.  Chief Sansom and the East Hartford Police Department encourage everyone to stop by.
