East Hartford Parks and Recreation Spring Events

Hop into Spring with East Hartford Parks and Recreation, the East Hartford High School Student Council and Peter Cottontail himself!

Bunny Breakfast will take place on Saturday, March 24th from 9 - 11 a.m. at East Hartford High School. Parks and Recreation and the EHHS Student Council present this wonderful event for children age 10 and younger. Children will be delighted to have breakfast with the one and only Peter Cottontail while enjoying fun-filled activities such as games, crafts, face painting, raffles and more! The fee for breakfast is $5 per person.  Children 2 and under are free. Tickets are required and are available in the main office of East Hartford High School or available at the door.

Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 24th at 11 a.m. at East Hartford High School. Join us after the Bunny Breakfast for an opportunity to participate in our annual Spring Egg Hunt!  Be sure to bring your own bag or basket to collect as many goodies as you can. Keep an eye out for the Golden Eggs!  All participants will have an equal opportunity to hunt for eggs by respective age groups.

New this year, we will also offer an Underwater Egg Hunt held at the High School Pool on Friday, March 23rd from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Participants will be assigned a time slot to ‘hop’ into the pool to collect some floating and sinking eggs.  Each child will then turn in their eggs for a goody bag. We’ll also have music, crafts, snacks and prizes.  The Underwater Egg Hunt is free for residents, but pre-registration is required and space is limited.

For more information on any of these events and to register, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 860-291-7160.
