    Winter Vacation Programs at the East Hartford Public Library

The East Hartford Public Library would like to invite you for a fun lineup of winter vacation programs for children and families.

• On Wednesday, December 26, the library will host a craft day for children, ages 3 and up, in the children’s room. The event will run all day. No registration is required.
   
• Thursday, December 27 is a busy day at the library! At 10:00 AM, teens and adults are invited to drop into the Creative Commons for some wintry paper cutting. Use the Silhouette Cameo to create intricate paper designs to bring home, and to contribute to a collaborative project. No experience is necessary. Register for a reminder. At 2:30 PM, join us for popcorn and Incredibles 2 on the big screen. Find out what happens when Mr. Incredible is left to care for the kids while Elastigirl is out saving the world. No registration required, all ages are welcome. At 6:00 PM, magician Ed Popielarcyzk will entertain and amaze you at a magic show for all ages. Register for a reminder, or just drop in. All are welcome!
   
• On Friday, December 28 children are invited to Read to the Dogs. We will have therapy dogs available between 11:00 AM and noon in the children’s department program room. Sign up for a 15 minute reading session. All ages are welcome. In the afternoon, bring your family to play some board games between 2:00 – 4:00 PM. We have games for all ages. No registration required.
   
• Teens are invited for a music production on Saturday, December 29 from 1:00 – 4:00 in the teen area. Our music production program has three easy steps:

1. Learn the basics at your first session.

2. Work on your own projects and/or collaborate

3. Make music! For grades 7 and up. Please register.

• On Monday, December 31, families with young children are invited to join us from 11:00AM – noon for a countdown to New Year at the library. We will make masks and then celebrate at noon with dancing and a bubble-wrap stomp. Registration is required.
