East Hartford Eats Contest to Support Local Restaurants

All winners will be contacted by email to specify the East Hartford restaurant from which they would like to receive a gift card. Staff will arrange an appointment time for a gift card pickup. For those who haven't watched the announcement, it can be viewed here.
East Hartford, CT - The Town of East Hartford is excited to announce a contest aimed at supporting local businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. Although restaurants are currently closed to eat-in dining, many are open for takeout, curbside pickup, delivery, or gift card purchases. They are depending on continued business and support from patrons in order to remain open far into the future.
To encourage area residents to patronize these businesses, the Town of East Hartford is holding a contest with prizes of gift cards to local East Hartford restaurants, in the amount of $50 each, to fifteen lucky winners. (Thanks to a generous donation, the number of winners has incresed from five to fifteen, and the contest has been extended by one week.) To participate, individuals should submit a photo, scan or a screen capture of a receipt from any East Hartford restaurant dated April 10, 2020 or later, along with the participant’s name and e-mail address. The receipt either must be from a restaurant exclusively located in East Hartford or clearly show an East Hartford address. Participants may enter up to four times per person, with a different receipt required for each entry. Each person is only eligible to win a maximum of one prize. Employees of the Town of East Hartford, and members of their immediate household, are not eligible for prizes.
The new deadline to enter into the drawing is May 15, 2020 at 11:59 PM.
