East Hartford, CT—The Town of East Hartford’s Department of Public Works will begin remote sales of Bulky Waste Permits for use at the Transfer Station from July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 on Monday, June 15, 2020.

East Hartford Public Works no longer processes permit applications and renewal forms in person. However, the remote process is simple. To renew a bulky waste permit, residents are asked to fill out a renewal form available on the town website here.

Forms can also be found at the DPW permit drop-box located at 61 Ecology Drive (off of Burnside Avenue).

Those who didn’t have a bulky waste permit before, may request one by filling out this form.

To receive a bulky waste permit, residents should complete an application form, attach a check or money order written to the “Town of East Hartford” and deliver it to the Bulky drop-box or mail it to East Hartford Public Works, 1 Ecology Drive, East Hartford, CT 06108.
