Cruisin East Hartford

car show

East Hartford Mayor Marcia Leclerc is happy to invite all car-lovers, community members and neighbors to enjoy the 3rd Annual “Cruisin’ East Hartford” Car Show.

The annual car show will be held Saturday, July 7, from 1 to 5 p.m. at 450 Forbes St., on the corner of Forbes and Silver Lane. The rain date is July 8.

“Cruisin’ East Hartford” was first created three years ago in collaboration with Connecticut Street Legends and the East Hartford Department of Parks and Recreation to offer a free family-friendly community event. The Connecticut Street Legends is a classic car club, established in 2005 with the goal to share enthusiasm about their hobby.

The car show is also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate automobiles of all types and years, meet new people and learn more about car industry. Those who own a car that they would like to enter into the car show can do so for a $10 fee and dash plaques will be given to the first 100 entrants. There is no cutoff year!  Classics (domestic and foreign), Street Rods, Customs, Antiques/Vintage and new Muscle Cars are welcome. There will be a contest with trophies, food, and oldies music. The event is free and open to the public.

For more information please call East Hartford Parks and Recreation at 860-291-7160 or Connecticut Street Legends at 860-383-6131.
