Conversation with Stanwyck Cromwell

The East Hartford Public Library invites you to a conversation with artist Stanwyck Cromwell on Thursday, July 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the library, located at 840 Main St.

The library is currently hosting an exhibit “Caribbean Vibes: a Colorful Journey,” featuring the work of Cromwell which will be displayed until September. On Thursday, art lovers will have a chance to meet Cromwell, spend some time with him and ask questions pertaining to art, culture, and topics relevant to his history and training as an artist. Conversation with the artist is a free event that offers an open dialog and interaction between Cromwell and the audience.

Cromwell is a third-generation, Guyana-born contemporary visual artist, who has lived and worked in the United States for decades.  His work reflects a wide range of memories he has of Guyana through various themes, vibrant colors and exotic patterns. Currently, Cromwell is an adjunct art professor at Capital Community College in Hartford.
