Celebrate the Holidays at East Hartford Holiday Fest 2017

The East Hartford Holiday Fest 2017 will be held from Friday, December 1st through Monday, December 4th. Holiday Fest 2017 is presented by the East Hartford Beautification Commission and supported by many local civic, community and town organizations. The traditional tree lighting on the Town Green will be held on Friday to kick off the Holiday Fest’s 25th year.

This year there are nearly 30 events during the 4 days, held throughout town, ranging from concerts, holiday book readings, craft fairs and sales, and community meals. The events cater to all ages, young and old. Most are free and open to the public. Click here for a full calendar of events.

As in years past, the Holiday Fest Committee is asking the public to help out their neighbors in need and donate to a number of different East Hartford-based charities. A $2.00 Holiday Fest Button is available for purchase, and proceeds will benefit the Food Bank. In addition, East Hartford Social Services is sponsoring a Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the youth of East Hartford. Donations of new, unwrapped toys for ages 0—10 (especially for ages 0-2 and 8-10) as well as new hats, scarves, mittens and gloves for all ages are needed. Donations will be accepted November 27th through December 1st at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center Parks & Recreation Office, 50 Chapman Place, at the following times:

Monday—Wednesday, 8:30 AM—4:30 PM
Thursday, 8:30 AM—7:30 PM
Friday, 8:30 AM—12:30 PM
