Believe 208: Run for the Brave and Finest 5K

Believe 208: Sunday, Sept. 30 - 7AM, 1831 Main Street

TheFifth Annual Believe 208: Run for the Brave and Finest 5K will take place on Sunday, September 30, 2018. Registration starts at 7AM for an 8:30AM start. There will also be a kids fun run at 8AM. The race location is at the Knights of Columbus on 1831 Main Street, East Hartford. 

Believe 208 celebrates and remembers East Hartford Officer Paul Buchanan, who struggled with depression and died by suicide in 2013. The event raises money and awareness for police officer mental health through Believe 208 and the Connecticut Alliance to Benefit Law Enfrocement (CABLE). Road Closures:

More than 500 participants are expected for this event, and the course runs along Main Street, East Hartford and Old Main Street, South Windsor. On race day, road closures and travel delays will begin at 7:30 AM and exist in the area until 9:00 AM.

Expect closures and/or delays on the following roadways:

East Hartford

Main Street at Route 5 (Start and Finish), Gillman Street, Passaro Drive, and Brook Street

South Windsor

Old Main Street, King Street, North King Street, and Chapel Road
