State of Connecticut Temporary Mortgage Assistance Program (T-MAP)

The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, with financial support from the State of Connecticut, has launched a homeowner assistance program for low and moderate income households in Connecticut who are struggling to pay their mortgages due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Up to $10 million in emergency loan funds are available to help homeowners pay their housing costs so they may remain in their homes as they work to regain financial stability.
  • Eligible homeowners with incomes at or below the 120% of the area median income will be eligible to apply for up to $25,000 in the form of a second mortgage loan.
  • Potential applicants should call 860-785-3111 to speak to a call center representative to determine threshold eligibility, after which a detailed application must be completed including verification of documentation.

In addition, for those borrowers who do not qualify, many banks and credit unions in Connecticut are offering relief consumers may qualify for. Please read the information on this web site in order to determine which option meets your needs.
