As a reminder, the East Hartford Farmers' Market will be open tomorrow 7/23/21 from 9 AM until 1 PM.

Mayor Marcia A. Leclerc is happy to announce that the annual East Hartford Farmers’ Market is coming back for another season to offer the freshest fruits and vegetables to its customers. Starting tomorrow, the farmer’s market will be open every Friday through October 29th with the hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Raymond Memorial Library, located at 840 Main Street.

“The farmers’ market is a great way to get locally-grown produce and support Connecticut farms and agriculture,” said Mayor Leclerc.

The East Hartford Farmers’ Market is proud to serve Connecticut-grown, fresh fruits and vegetables every year and the produce it offers is often sold the same day as it is harvested. The mission of the East Hartford Farmers’ Market is not only to provide locally-grown, fresh and healthy produce to the East Hartford community, but to also encourage the public to adopt healthier food options. The farmers’ market is also a great way for individuals to socialize and see their neighbors as well as to educate themselves and others on the importance of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

The farmers’ market is annually co-sponsored by the East Hartford Health Department and the East Hartford Public Library. These organizations, along with other agencies plan to conduct health, education and outreach activities at the farmers’ market. Please note that all Connecticut farmers’ markets are affiliated with the WIC Farmers’ Market Coupon Program and they are authorized to accept their produce and vegetable vouchers.
