VITA to Offer Free Pop-Up Tax Preparation Clinics at the East Hartford Public Library during Tax Season

East Hartford, CT - The VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program will be offering two free pop-up tax preparation clinics at the East Hartford Public Library during tax season. There is no charge to use this service. VITA volunteers will help people prepare and file taxes, teach new ways to save, and provide tips to help stretch refunds.

VITA is a volunteer program that provides no-cost tax preparation services for families with household incomes of up to $58,000. VITA volunteers are IRS-certified and help you prepare and file your taxes

“We are very excited to partnering with VITA during the 2022 tax season,” said Library Director Sarah Kline Morgan. “Tax preparation assistance is an often-requested service from patrons, and we are happy to be able to offer it this year.”

Tax assistance clinics will be held on Sunday, February 27th, 2022 and Sunday, March 13th, 2022 from 1-5 pm at Raymond Library (840 Main St.). Registration for a session is required. To register, call 211. When connected, follow prompts to press “3” and then “6” to set up an appointment.
