Upcoming COVID-19 Webinars & Resources for Business

Please see the following message from the Connecticut Department of Economic & Community Development:

Following our release of industry-specific rules for Phase 2, I wanted to share a few additional resources available for our small businesses navigating through reopening and recovery.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 10, at 11 a.m., the Connecticut Small Business Development Center (CTSBDC) will host a comprehensive webinar focusing on PPP loan forgiveness, paying special attention to changes associated with the Paycheck Protection Flexibility Act last week. Click here to register for the webinar.

Northeastern University’s Global Resilience Institute and Business School just launched a free online resource to help businesses plan their COVID-19 restart and recovery. The 9-part course covers topics including keeping employees and customers safe, working with suppliers, and securing operating capital. The courses can be found here.

As a reminder, businesses and non-profits that will reopen during Phase 2 (beginning June 17) must self-certify that they understand and will follow all of their sector’s rules. If you already self-certified during Phase 1, your organization does not need to certify again during Phase 2.

Thank you for everything you’re doing to keep your employees and customers safe. We’ll continue to provide access to resources, news and updates as they become available.

Sincerely,
David Lehman, Commissioner
