Transfer Station:
Residents no longer need a waste permit to utilize the transfer station. New fees have been set for all users of the transfer station based on vehicle type. The fees range from $10 to $100. Please refer to the infographic below for details:
Eligible Transfer Station users include owners and tenants of 1-6 family units, home owners and tenants of apartment complexes and condominiums 7 and above. No commercial landlords or businesses are eligible.
Required identification (ID) must be presented at the gate. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver's license, Connecticut license, energy bills, apartment lease, mortgage or tax documents indicating your name and the East Hartford property address where you reside.
Acceptable form of payment includes credit and debit cards, money orders or checks. Cash transactions are NOT permitted.
1-6 family LLC property owners must obtain an “LLC Certificate” from the Public Works Administration Office.
