The celebrated community outreach program Coffee With A Cop continues in East Hartford. Last fall, the East Hartford Police Department began what is now a regular program designed to bring police officers and the community members they serve together – over coffee – to discuss issues and learn more about each other. No agenda, no speeches. Talk with police about your neighborhood, ask questions, share concerns, or stop by just to chat.
“Emergency situations often do not allow Citizens an opportunity to talk with an Officer about every-day thoughts or concerns, or to ask an Officer to help explain something that’s been on his or her mind,” said Police Chief Scott Sansom. “Events such as these provide that opportunity. If you haven’t had a chance to meet with us yet, we encourage you to join us. We want to hear from you,” he added.
The next East Hartford Police ‘Coffee with a Cop’ takes place from 8:00AM to 10:00AM on Saturday, May 20th at Dunkin’ Donuts, 1083 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, Connecticut. All are welcome.
