This swashbuckling fun, highly energized musical comedy is the story of young Frederic, a young man accidentally apprenticed as a child to a band of overly-sentimental pirates until his twenty-first birthday. After turning 21, Frederic sets off on his own with the hope of becoming an upstanding citizen - and even intends to bring his former companions to justice. However, Frederic may really not be as free from the pirates as he thinks he is, when a loophole in the original contract threatens to take Frederic away from his new life. Very talented youth ages 7-17 years old from several communities in the Greater Hartford area will be performing in this production, which lasts approximately 65 minutes long. Discounted ticket costs for East Hartford Residents are only $8 for Adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the door, 45 minutes before Showtime(s). This is a wonderfully funny, wholesome and entertaining production sure to please as well as expose audience members to the beautiful music of Gilbert and Sullivan.
