Route 2 Westbound Exit Ramp to Governor Street to Close Beginning March 13, 2017

Closure Due to Bridge Replacement on Rt. 2 Interchange - Expected Completion November 2017

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will close the Route 2 Westbound Governor Street Exit Ramp beginning March 13, 2017, weather permitting. This closure will be due to the replacement of one of the off ramp bridges, as part of an ongoing Route 2 / I-84 Interchange rehabilitation project being performed by the Brunalli Construction Company. The work is expected to be completed in November of 2017.

Route 2 East Hartford, Governor Street Exit: Motorists will be directed to take Exit 3 to Pitkin Street to Darlin Street to Connecticut Boulevard (SR44) to Prospect Street to Governor Street.   Pitkin Street has been re-stripped to accommodate additional traffic.

This project will lead to periodic lane closures on Route 2, I-84 and various on/off ramps as well as adacent streets. For more information, please visit the CT DOT website.
