Public Works Open House

In celebration of National Public Works Week, the East Hartford Department of Public Works is holding an open house at the East Hartford Transfer Station from 10AM to 12PM on Wednesday, May 24, 2017. This is a great opportunity for residents to get to know their DPW staff and learn about the essential role that Public Works plays in keeping East Hartford a clean, beautiful, and vibrant community.

This event is hosted at the East Hartford Transfer Station at 61 Ecology Drive (off  Burnside Avenue). Activities include a Touch –  A – Truck with a 10 wheel dump truck with snow plow, a large road snow blower, the Town flood protection system sand-bag filler, a vacuum truck and more, as well as educational materials on recycling and composting as well as information on the Town’s solid and bulky waste policies and door prizes. All are welcome. This event is free and kid friendly.
