The Town Council is East Hartford's legislative body. It is responsible for approving a town budget, passing ordinances and providing oversight of the town administration. The Council also approves Mayoral recommendations for appointments to local Boards and Commissions.
The Town Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays (except for July and December, when the Council meets only once) at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of the Town Hall. Please note that meetings are called at the discretion of the Chairperson of the Council.
